On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the English Student Association (ESA) successfully held an event titled “Iftar & Sharing Together In Al-Qolam (IFTARIA)” at Al-Qolam University Building. The event began at 2:00 PM WIB and carried on warmly until the evening, creating a cozy atmosphere inside despite the cold and rainy weather outside.
The event was attended by 43 participants, consisting of lecturers, alumni, and students from the English Education Department, all of whom showed great enthusiasm throughout the program. The series of activities began with “Sharing Takjil Together”, where participants brought and exchanged snacks for breaking the fast. This was followed by “Preparing & Sharing Together”, where everyone contributed to arranging and organizing the meals for iftar.
Before breaking the fast, Maulana Abdurrozikin, the Chairperson of English Student Association, delivered an energetic and heartfelt speech, expressing joy and gratitude for the togetherness. At Maghrib time, the participants enjoyed the first iftar session together, followed by Maghrib prayer in congregation, adding a spiritual touch to the gathering.
After praying, everyone returned to enjoy “Iftar Part 2”, which served as a relaxed time to chat and strengthen the bonds among participants. The event concluded with a photo session, capturing joyful memories of the evening.
Overall, IFTARIA was a successful and meaningful event, filled with warmth, unity, and Ramadan spirit. It not only fostered a sense of togetherness but also strengthened the connection between lecturers, alumni, and students of the English Education Department.
