However, not all students are able to speak or understand English well. Therefore, the English Club program emerged as an idea to help students master English.
English Club is a routine activity carried out by the English Student Association English Department IAI AL-QOLAM to practice speaking skills and improve understanding of English as well as being a forum for discussions about lectures for students, especially students in semesters 1 and 3.
Each year’s study club activities are guided by members of the media division of the English Student Association, this time guided by 5th semester students accompanied by English department alumni, filled with various exciting and interesting activities. “We have games, presentations from invited speakers, then also discussions about short films, song analysis, and show and tell about objects that the participants consider very valuable.
Different from study clubs in previous years, study club activities are held twice a week, namely on Mondays and Fridays at 9 AM, because it adjusts the lecture times for semester 1 and semester 3.
