On Saturday, May 28th, 2025, the Basic Tour Guide Seminar was successfully held at the Auditorium of Universitas Al-Qolam. The seminar started at 08.00 AM and continued until finished, attended by all students from the 2nd and 4th semesters of the Tadris Bahasa Inggris (TBIG) Program, along with several delegates from other HMPS.
The seminar presented Wulidatul Rohmani, S.Pd as the main speaker, who delivered insightful materials about the basics of tour guiding, including practical tips and essential communication skills in the tourism field. The session was guided by Almah Nurul Fahmia as the moderator, who kept the discussion interactive and engaging from start to finish.
Adding to the excitement, the event was also attended by one of the English lecturers, Mr. Ahmad Mahfudillah Syam, M.Pd, who gave a brief motivational speech to the participants before the main session began.
Throughout the seminar, the atmosphere remained lively and full of participation. Students were enthusiastic in asking questions and sharing their thoughts, making the event feel more fun, interactive, and meaningful. With a great combination of theory, practical knowledge, and light-hearted discussion, this seminar became a refreshing learning moment for everyone involved.
Hopefully, this seminar will be a valuable starting point for students to develop their confidence in public speaking, improve their communication skills in English, and gain a basic understanding of the tour guide profession. Through this activity, students are expected to become more confident, skilled, and ready to face future professional challenges.
