On Thursday, February 27th, 2025, the Student Leadership Basic Training (LDKM) was successfully held with the theme “Unity in Diversity: The Power of Integration”. The event took place at Balai Desa Urek-Urek and was attended by all committee members of English Student Association (ESA), HMPS Tadris Bahasa Indonesia (TBI), and HMPS Tadris Mathematics (TMTK).
Although there were a few initial challenges, especially regarding the venue, the event ran smoothly and was full of enthusiasm from the participants. The highlight of the LDKM was the Sharing Session with the former General Chairpersons of HMPS from the 2024/2025 period. The speakers included Fiqri Fahriza (Former President of ESA), Alfarisi (Former President of HMPS TBI), and Davix Veftia Faikhotul (Former President of HMPS TMTK).
In this session, participants got tons of useful insights and practical tips through three major topics:
- Organizational Management by Alfarisi (TBI), where participants learned how to design and implement effective work programs, maintain good communication among team members, keep programs on track according to timelines, and manage organizational resources more efficiently.
- Organizational Development & Publication Management by Fiqri Fahriza (TBIG), covering how HMPS can build strong networks both inside and outside campus, communicate well with external parties, identify important moments to share publicly, and how to handle social media consistently to boost the positive image and branding of HMPS.
- Motivation in Organization by Davix Veftia Faikhotul (TMTK), focused on keeping the spirit alive in organization life, understanding the benefits of being involved, staying committed without feeling forced, and fostering loyalty and solidarity among fellow HMPS members.
Overall, this LDKM was not just about gaining leadership knowledge, but also about strengthening the bond between the three HMPS groups. Through this activity, all participants were expected to improve their leadership skills, become more active in organizational life, and embrace the spirit of unity within diversity.
