YouTube is a company that collects user collections generated content, containing thousands of short films and television episodes, and hundreds of full-length films. Serves more than two billion videos per day, has become a clear leader in online video sharing. YouTube mainly earn revenue by selling ads on the page homepage and search results, as well as in the videos. this site allows users to upload, watch and share videos. The company is headquartered in San Bruno, California. This company was founded in 2005 by Steve Chen (former CTO) and Chad Hurley (former CEO). Youtube today is a subsidiary of Internet search giant Google. In November 2006, YouTube, LLC bought by Google for US$1.65 billion and officially operational as a subsidiary of Google. The youtube company is headquartered in San Bruno, California, and using Adobe Flash Video technology and HTML5 to display a wide variety of custom video content users, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos. Besides that there is as well as amateur content such as video blogs, short original videos, and videos education.
YouTube started as a tech start-up funded by a $11.5 million investment from Sequoia Capital between November 2005 and April 2006. YouTube’s first office is located above a pizzeria and Japanese restaurant in San Mateo, California. Name the domain www.youtube.com was active on February 14, 2005 and this site developed in the following months.
The first video on YouTube is titled Me at the zoo. This video featuring co-founder Jawed Karim at the San Diego Zoo. Videos this was uploaded on April 23, 2005 and it’s still there today on this site. YouTube offers beta test in May 2005, six months before the official launch in Novembe 2005. The growth of this site skyrocketed and in July 2006, the company announced that more than 65,000 videos are uploaded daily and the site accepts 100 million video visits per day.
Most content on YouTube is uploaded by individuals, though media companies such as CBS, BBC, Vevo, Hulu, and other organizations have uploaded their materials to this site as part of the YouTube partnership program. Unregistered users can watching videos, while registered users can upload videos in unlimited quantities.
In November 2011, the Google+ social network was integrated directly with YouTube and the Chrome web browser, so videos YouTube videos can be watched on Google+. December 2011, YouTube is launching a new interface. Video channels are displayed in the column the center of the main page, just like the news feeds of networking sites social. At the same time, a new version of the YouTube logo is installed with darker red shadow. This is the first design change them since October 2006.
YouTube Founder and Management
YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim, who was previously PayPal’s first employee. Hurley studied design at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, while Chen and Karim studied computer science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
a) Chad Hurley
Chad Hurley whose full name is Chad Meredith Hurley started out as a national web designer United States of America. Chad was born on July 24, 1977 in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, United States and is the son of a couple Don and Joann Hurley who grew up with his older sister Heather and his brother Brent in Birdsboro. Since childhood, Chad has indeed been show his talent and interest in the art world. But then he switched to studying electronic media and computers in high school.
A school that is a place to channel their interests is Twin Valley High School in Elverson who also became a place to teach children with special needs for their mothers. Chad too famous as a standout runner for Cross Country who became a program at his school by getting two degrees PIAA state in 1992 and 1994. Besides, he too became a member of the Technology Student Association at that time.
Graduated from Twin Valley in 1995, Chad Hurley then continued his studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Four years passed, he finally got the title B.A. Fine Arts in 1999. Because before graduating Chad had been accepted to work at PayPal, so he went straight to California to show his artistic talent in logo design the company. And his work has become the official logo company until now.
b) Steve Chen

Steven Shinh Chen, who is fondly called Steve Chen, was born in August 18, 1978. Judging from the name alone, it’s obvious that this man is of Asian descent. Chen was born and grew up in Taipei area, Taiwan for 15 years which then followed his family to migrate to the United States. Then he continue his schooling by entering Middle School River Trails Middle School in Mount Prospect, Illinois. After that continued to John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights in freshman year and entered Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy for the last three years. After graduation, Chen entered the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to major in computer science. In 2002, he successfully graduated and then worked as the first employee at PayPal as a programmer.
c) Jawed Karim

The last person to become the founder of YouTube was Jawed Karim. This man of Bangladeshi-German descent was born in Merseburg, East Germany on October 28, 1979. Only a year in Merseburg, Karim crossed the Berlin Wall to settle in Neuss, West Germany in 1980. It was only when he was 13 years, Karim and his family moved to the United States. His move to the United States came two years after German reunification, i.e. in 1992.
After being in America, Karim immediately continued school. Central High School in Minnesota is a school first in America. After graduating, he was accepted at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Illinois with a major in science computer. Even though studying in the same place and major as Steve Chen, but the two have never met. As well as like Chad Hurley, Karim has also been accepted as one of the first employee at PayPal. In 2004, he finally got Bachelor of Science degree and immediately continued his work at PayPal.

Susan Wojcicki is the CEO of Youtube who new since February 2014. Susan Wojcicki previously had plays an important role in the Youtube company by serving as Senior Vice President for Adsense Commerce. Dedication and Susan’s loyalty to the Youtube company finally brought her up to the highest level of corporate leadership, replacing Salar Kamangar who has served as CEO of Youtube since 2010.
