NU’s centenary official logo
NEWS – The commemoration of NU’s centenary anniversary was held on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, at Gelora Delta Sidoarjo, East Java by the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU). This event lasted 24 hours non-stop and was filled with various activity programs to commemorate NU’s centenary Anniversary. The general public who wants to watch can come directly to the Sidoarjo Delta Gelora Stadium or can watch via live streaming broadcasted at NU’s Official YouTube Channel.
Sidoarjo was chosen as the place because that place was the place where the founders of NU forged themselves to deepen their religious knowledge, such as KH Hasyim Asy’ari and Syaikhona Muhammad Kholil Bangkalan. This was said by NU’s centenary anniversary Spokesperson, Rahmat Hidayat Pulungan, as quoted from detikNews.
In addition, this event was also attended by important figures, such as Indonesian President Joko Widodo with Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, Minister of Defense named Prabowo Subianto, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment named Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs named Mahfud Md, East Java Governor named Khofifah Indar Parawansa, and others.

The event is divided into four sessions. The first session, namely rituals in the form of Lailatul Qoriah, Qiyamul Lail to the morning prayer in congregation.
The second event was the highlight of the event which was attended directly by President Joko Widodo and Nahdlatul Ulama figures.
The third event was a cultural carnival which was attended by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Head of the State Intelligence Agency Budi Gunawan, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of PPKUKM Teten Masduki and Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang.
In closing, it was filled with a folk stage which was enlivened by famous singers such as Maher Zein, Rhoma Irama, Slank, ISHARI and many others.
