Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 was a heartwarming day for the big family of ESA (English Student Association). Held at the Auditorium of Al-Qolam University Malang, the ESA 2025 Halal Bihalal served as a moment of gratitude and togetherness—an opportunity to reconnect, forgive each other, and strengthen the bonds between students, alumni, and lecturers of the English Education program.
The event was attended by 67 people, including lecturers, alumni, and current ESA members. From the start, the atmosphere was full of warmth and a strong sense of family.
The program kicked off right on time at 2:00 PM with an opening by the MC, followed by a series of welcoming speeches: Anis Nur Faizah, as the Event Chair, Maulana Abdurrozikin, as the Leader of ESA, and Mr. Hanif Maulaniam Sholah, M.Pd., Head of the English Education Program. Each speaker shared heartfelt messages, including Eid greetings, hopes for the blessings of this gathering, and sincere appreciation for everyone’s presence.
Then came one of the highlights of the day: the Sharing Session with alumni!
This part was filled with laughter, stories, and inspiration. The alumni enthusiastically shared their personal journeys from their student days—challenges, lessons, and the motivation that kept them going. Many of them are now teachers in various institutions, and some even work at Al-Qolam University itself. Truly inspiring!
Next was the Halal Bihalal session, where everyone took turns shaking hands, asking for and giving forgiveness, and strengthening the unity that this event was all about. The sense of warmth and belonging was truly felt in this moment. Of course, a group photo session followed to capture the beautiful memories.
Finally, the event closed with a friendly gathering over delicious meals prepared by the committee. While enjoying the food, guests continued the conversations they had started earlier during the sharing session, now in a more relaxed and cheerful setting.
The ESA Halal Bihalal 2025 ran smoothly and successfully thanks to the active participation of all members, alumni, and lecturers. Hopefully, gatherings like this will continue in the future, bringing blessings, strengthening Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah), and tightening the bonds within the ESA family.
