As we know that for people who are studying and majoring in English one of their goals is to can speak like a native speaker because their mother language is not English. So, Here are the tips and tricks on How to Improve Your English Pronunciation to be Like Native Speakers:
1. Learn Phonetic Symbols and Stressing
The first step is you can learn phonetic symbols and also stressing through the English dictionary. usually, every English word in the dictionary, it will be followed by the phonetics behind it. Through this phonetics you have an idea of what a word should look like correctly. And then stressing, you also have to learn to emphasize English words.
2. Do Listening regularly
The next tip to improve pronunciation is listening. Not only listening to English songs, you can also learn listening from English podcasts, learning videos or English films to practice listening. Through video, you can’t only practice listening, but at the same time you can observe how to pronounce a word through lip movements. If you are learning pronunciation, use learning resources directly from native speakers. so, we can know what the correct pronunciation is.
3. Apply “Imitation” and “Shadowing” technicques
Continuing the point two, when you are learning listening, you can simultaneously apply the “imitation” and “shadowing” techniques. “Imitation”, with this technique you are invited to imitate every word or sentence you hear from your listening practice material. “Shadowing”, on this technique there is no time lag. You can try taking a course or pronunciation class as an alternative choice. By taking it, you can do all these steps with the assistance of the best teaching tutors. Besides that, you can also get lots of friends to practice together. Course can also improve all your English skills.
