“Tabak Games in Pontianak Mekar Baru Village”
Culture is one of the assets of the Indonesian State. Each region has its own culture. One of them is the “Tabak” game.
This game is a traditional game in Pontianak, to be precise in the Mekar Baru Village area. ceramics, they usually even use coconut shards and they will make a line on the ground as a boundary for playing.

This game is very popular with children, every day they always play together usually after school or after the Asr prayer, they flock to place to play. This game canbe played individually or in groups. Over time this game is rarely played and starts todisappear even they don’t know this game. This is caused by two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. The internal factor is a lack of desire preserving their culture and also the lack of kesa understand that the game is the culture and wealth of this country. while the internal factor is the influence of technology such as cellphones, they tend to play cellphones more, like playing games and so on. Therefore we as the younger generation must
protect our culture so that it does not disappear and is maintained.
