ENGKLEK
Indonesia has many different types of culture that differ in each region. However, some cultures are currently rarely seen or almost lost due to the influence of technological developments.
One of them is the traditional game of engklek. When I was child I used to play this game a lot. Engklek is a game of jumping with one foot into another box sequentially except for the gaco place. Gaco is a flat piece of stone or tile used in this game.
This game does not require difficult tools, just paint a box on the ground and a gaco. This game will be more exciting if there are more than two players. After school I and my friends often play this game. In our game agreement the loser has to treat snacks. I really like this game.
But at this time traditional games such as engklek are rarely seen. Today’s generation of children prefer gadget games to traditional games, as a result, these games are gradually losing their existence.

LUMBUNG DESA
Lumbung Desa is a tradision that is starting to disappear or not be preserved. Lumbung desa are social institutions for rural communities that aim to maintain staple food reserves in my village. Lumbung Desa will collect part of the harvest from the farmers in my village to be stored in the rice granary ( lumbung padi ). Rice granary ( lumbung padi ) is a special building used to store the crops of farmers. The purpuse of Lumbung Desa is as a food reserve if the community experiences harvest difficulties. Lumbung Desa are also commonly used as seed storage.
But in modern times like now Lumbung Desa is no longer used because people tend to prefer shopping rather than saving. And the farmer only thinks how to sell it quickly and get money, etc. And to revive this Lumbung Desa is veri difficult because of the impact of this globalization.
